‘Last week we had multiple Juno award winning producer and guitarist Colin Linden visit our studios to lay down some ripping slide guitar parts for RM song “Looking For The Savior”. This is a gospel blues tune that we have been working on for awhile and since Colin was in town doing a concert at the folk club we snagged him for a couple of hours because we knew he would be exactly the right man for the job. He didn’t disappoint either. The tracks sound great. It was a pleasure to hang out with him for a bit and also get a few recording studio tips on microphones and stuff like that. His concert in the evening was also very inspiring. It’s great to see such an accomplished blues man and songwriter doing what he does best.
For those of you who don’t know Colin and his work, he has produced and played guitar for many great artists over the years including Emmy Lou Harris, The Band, Colin James and several CD projects for Bruce Cockburn. The latest Cockburn CD ‘Small Source of Comfort’ was just recently released and features Colin as producer yet again. Colin is also a member of the celebrated Canadian Roots band ‘Blackie and the Rodeo Kings’.
